Bio

Comfort Drive 2 is a full featured dual overdrive pedal designed to get you all the gain tones you’ll ever need. With two completely independent circuits and an effects loop you can truly treat it as two separate pedals that just so happen to share an enclosure. Set one side for low gain, the other for medium gain and stack them together for some juicy high gain sustain.

The Controls

Both sides of this pedal are identical and each have controls for:

Knobs

Volume: adjusts the output volume. The right side can be used as a clean boost to make the left side overdrive harder. When both sides are active treat the right one as a gain control and the left one as a master volume.

Gain: this one is fairly self explanatory, but in case you didn’t already know it controls the amount of drive/gain/distortion.

Tone: controls the amount of treble, clockwise for bright.

Presence: fine tunes the treble response like an amp would.

Switches

Hard: toggles hard clipping diodes, when on the signal will be quieter but more distorted.

Soft: toggles soft clipping diodes, these tend to produce a smoother overdrive tone.

Gain: toggles extra gain.

Mids: toggles the low/mid frequency response.
